Sawyer's surgery

On Friday Sawyer had to have "surgery". It was more like a procedure so the doctors could look down her airways and lungs and see what was going on inside since she keeps getting croup. She was not a happy camper and pretty much gave all hospital staff a run for their money when they came close to her!
After we got her all checked in, they let her play in the play area until the doctor was ready. She liked this part a little bit...

Since Sawyer was so upset when the nurses and doctors tried to come near her, they gave her a "pre-cocktail" to calm her nerves...and boy did it!!

then she started giggling at everything...it was SO funny to watch!!

Daddy got all suited up to go into the OR with her. He was able to carry her back and stayed until she was completely asleep! What a great daddy!!

The doctors determined that Sawyer's airway under her vocal cords is narrow, something that she will probably out grow as she gets older. They also took some biopies that will be go back and review with the doctor in a month or so. So, nothing major to worry about. Whew!
